West Carroll Veterans Football is a youth football organization started in 2005 by a Vietnam veteran, Guy Miller with the sole purpose of giving every child a equal chance to succeed. ALL children that sign up are given the equal chance to play football on a team and are given the opportunity to benefit from the instruction and life experiences of the other Veterans who have joined with Guy. There are many children who cannot afford to pay registration fees, pay for clothes, pay for gear, or that simply don't have the resources to belong to a conventional type of league. ALL children that sign up can participate. Money from Guy's pocket has paid for many "scholarships" and his truck has given many children rides to and from where they need to go. As our organization has begun to grow, so has our need for funds. Those of us who believe in this are working very hard to keep it going in the way it was meant to be. We honor our Veterans and keep their memories alive in these children that come to play each year, as well as teach them that they are equally valuable and can succeed at anything.
